Cleveland Indians Baseball
It’s baseball season and the Cleveland Indians are courting homeschoolers. I received an e-mail just last week from a representative of the Cleveland Indian’s, which reads in part:
Greetings from Progressive Field
Field trip opportunities at the ballpark this season include:
— Wildlife Education Day presented by the Akron Zoo on May 5th, 2010.
— Faith and Family Day featuring a postgame concert by the Newsboys on May 8th, 2010.
— WKYC Weather Education Days on May 20th and 26th, 2010.
We would like to get the word out to the Homeschooling community about these dates, which include a pre or post game event plus a major league baseball game!
Tickets are 50% off for each of the above events.
Please share these events, with your homeschool friends, family and support groups. We feel these events are not only educational but FUN and inspirational too.
Thank you in advance for your consideration!

I tried to find more information on these events online but was so far unsuccessful. If you manage to find more details, please send me a link, so that I might share it with everyone. Alternatively, please contact Renne Boerner.
Please consider taking a group of kids to one or all of the above events. If venues such as this know that homeschoolers will participate, we will see more offers sent our way.
Just last year I had several conversations with a nice lady working for Six Flags in New Jersey, she was trying to put together a homeschool day at Six Flags (Thursday, May 6th, 2010) and was not getting a very good response from the homeschooling community at large. This is one of the reasons I promote events such as this one. No, I don’t get any kick-backs or advertising funding for posting it. I just get a good feeling, knowing that I am helping to bring terrific activities to homeschoolers. When you can have fun and save money too, it’s a win, win, situation.
More details on Homeschool Day at Six Flags
Order your tickets by April 22, 2010 to receive discounts and free chaperone tickets.
If you do manage to make it to one of these events, please write back and let us all know how you liked it. Did the kids have a good time? Was it educational? How were you treated when you made reservations? Stuff like that is meaningful to all homeschoolers.
Happy Homeschooling!
Go Indians!
This sounds like a lot of fun.
