Putting the Home in Homeschooling
I think summer has finally arrived here in the moutains. To be honest, I really had my doubts about whether or not warm weather would return to these parts. Shawn, our resident computer guru, we lovingly call Yoda has been buried in his computer for so long, I’m beginning to feel like the greiving widow.
So, I’m a doing my best to get the house ready for summer weather. The men humored me and tried on every pair of pants and shorts they owned, then we finished up with the shirts. Of course, everything has to be washed before it can be packed. Needless to say, I’ve been busy.
I realize I have been neglecting to write and I really do purpose to improve but old habits of neglect are hard to change. While I get my act together, I have something to share.
If you live near California and don’t require lots of notice and planning — consider spending the weekend at Yosemite National Park. Park management have decided to waive their entrance fees this weekend, June 5-6, 2010. Even if you only drive up for the afternoon it’s a wonderful drive — expect the park to be busy.
The regular entrance fee is $20 per passenger car. An annual pass is perfect, even if you only plan to visit Yosemite twice within that year. The cost is $40.
Are you ready for summer? I’m getting there, slowly but surely.
